Why do I have to hear the name Miley Cyrus every 5 minutes?!
Question: I realize me asking this is just talking about her, but heck why not, everyone else seems to be.
Whats the big deal? Like seriously.
For all i can see, she's cute, her Daddy's famous, and she can sing slightly better than the average girl.
But dude. Her voice is SO annoying, like everytime she talks, I want to grab duct tape. She's cute, not gorgeous. She cannot act. I realize she's a kid, but I've seen younger kids act a million times better. And I realize it's a kids show, but so was Lizzie McGuire crap and Hilary Duff acted well in it, and so did her co-stars.
So like all in all, WHY THE HECK are her concerts selling out? Why can I not go 10 minutes without seeing her mediocre face or hearing her cringe inducing voice?

My personal opinion is that masses of little girls who buy her tickets are tone deaf. She's in the spotlight with her five minutes of fame but in the next tow years her show will be canceled and she'll be the new Jamie Lynn Spears.

seriously i feel the same way as you do hun.....but believe me we're all suffering...and really the one thing that bothers me is that she's not even herself as hannah montana that just makes her five times as mediocre and annoying and fake as she was....umm, let's see 2 seconds ago when i heard some other crap about her on MTV.

Miley cyrus seriously makes me want to be deaf and blind. The only other time I've seen a child wear so much whorish make-up was Jon Bonet Ramsey and look what happened to her.

I think it has little to do with the actual person, Miley Cyrus. I think a lot of it has to do with the concept of the show. Its a about a girl who is the same age, or very close to the age of the majority of her viewers who lives a double life, and while she is a "normal" girl like them, the other side of her life is living a "glorious" celebrity life full of fun, excitement and fame, and lets face it, how many young kids, and even adults would love to have that type of life, one with fame and fortune? I think its fun for girls to fantasize about how "If this girl character can do it, then why cant I?" I think it gives them hope, in a sense.
We are realy living in a world where many people are obsessed with celebrities and even reality show television, and the show gives you a feel that it IS a celebrity doing reality television. Kids are sitting infront of the tv for 30 minutes watching this "celebrity," "Hannah Montana" live her "real life".
Because of this, I think this show would be popular among tweens and teens no matter who was playing the part.
