Question: So much of her difficulty seems to be caused by being hounded. True, her husband does have a say and he's been what seems a stabilizing influence. But honestly -- don't you think we're driving this woman to the brink just for our own entertainment as much as for any good reason?

I agree with you. Even though she's a celebrity she's still a person and needs some type of empathy. I feel so bad for her...and it just seems as though no one cares... I'll pray for her...
I don't feel sorry for Britney; she is technically an adult. I do feel sorry for her children, because despite her insistence that she loves them, she does nothing to ensure she will play a major role in their lives.

in the U.K , the press and the tv,love to build a celeb out of someone and then tear them apart bit by bit until either they and the public get tired or worse that person is dead.
I do not buy "news"papers or indulge in celeb worship,i value certain human beings for their contributions to society and especially local unsung hero's.
your next door neighbour is far more likely to have done something amazingly beautiful for another person and live their lives without celeb status and probably without any recognition .
I had a neighbour in London,an ex copper that had fought in the war(WW2),after his death and at his funeral,i found myself listening to the most fascinating life story i had ever heard.
Only his brother knew of his heroics and actions that saved many men women and children from certain death.
I had lived next door to that "old man" for 23 years and just thought of him as the silly old bugger next door !
My point i suppose is that he never sought fame and never courted media attention.
people that do are often then deemed of "public interest" and fair game for the media hounds that rip the Fox apart !

If Britney wants peace,she needs to find her way to obscurity.Many have gone there before her and many have come back from there better for it.
The Hounds are obeying the masters of the hunt , *the publics demand* for lurid and lucid stories of celebs stranger than their mundane lives,lives.(Jacko's Smacko's and whacko's are all "fair" hunting)
Do not buy the Papers,do not blindly follow a celeb's life,you will waste your own ! (well thats my thoughts)
My "mrs" can tell you most "faces" names,their kids names,who they married,etc etc,this is not conversational banter,its mind numbing , gossip that seem's pre-designed to divert the masses from the realities of the important issues on and of, the planet.(a few more of my thoughts)
I learnt a very long time ago to avoid reasoning where the public are concerned,so there IS no good reason for driving another human being over the edge,and what i outlined above about the media and the public "need to know" seem's the most pathetic and abhorent reason of all for such deliberate sacrifice/assassination of anyone.
