I think Grace Kelly's beauty and style came to her more naturally than Katies. Katie is beautiful, but she does seem "molded" as you so aptly put it.

There is really no comparison as far as I'm concerned. Katie Holmes has nothing on Grace Kelly. (And I actually kind of like Katie Holmes.)

I think Grace Kelly is average, the typical famous person who needs makeup to be attractive. There were was truly beautiful women back in her day, but she wasn't one of them. However I think Katie Holmes is one of the only natural beauties in hollywood. Just my opinion tough.
Grace Kelly, there really is no comparision.(just my opinion).
Grace Kelly wins hands down as the better of the two. Katie Holmes is not even seasoned yet. Grace was not only seasoned but, she was elegant, reserved, kind, gentle, a true refined lady in all senses of the word. Katie is dime a dozen and although no one is perfect, Katie could take hints from Grace's poise, carriage and well.....grace. Katie lets herself get molded by her man so her identity, her true core self disappears whereas Grace Kelly was her own woman in her own right and Prince Ranier never outclassed or out shown her. She stood for herself as well as for Prince Ranier. So, there truly is no comparison of the two.

I completely agree with you. Katie Holmes will never have the inborn "class' that Grace Kelly had in abundance!
I think Katie is very talented. While I still am skeptical on the Holmes/Cruise marriage she is emerging as her own person. I don't think she has achieved Grace Kelly status yet, though. She needs some truely classic roles for that.

That was prolly started by tom or one of his scientology robots, there isnt any comparions. Katie is whatever he tells her to be. If he told her to jump off a bridge, she do it. If he told her to act like a hooker, she'd be on the first street corner she could find.
Katie (or Kate as Tom calls her) has nothing on Grace. Every time I see Katie I'm thinking she trying to channel the spirit of Jackie Kennedy, which is all an act. She's trying to be someone who is isn't. Many of her former friends even calm she is nothing of what she used to be. I think she was star struck (for some reason) by Tom Cruise & his friends and is eager to please them. Luckily Nicole Kidman and his other lady friends saw through it. She was a better match with Chris Klein, at the time they were two normal people with equally successful careers. Grace just had pure beauty & class, along with a booming career that was sadly cut way too short.
