Question: Yes, I have first hand experience with at least two people like that. My brother in law and his wife fit that description exactly. My brother in law is an ordained minister and actually married my wife and me. Despite being a minister and minister's wife they can be two of the most unchristian people I've met. They are very, very selfish. They talk badly of people behind their backs. They lie. My brother in law is a very poor sport. According to him he is almost never wrong. My sister in law lies to every "friend" she has. She is constantly trying to pit one friend against another. They take complete advantage of my mother and father in law. They have told people that they are only using them for babysitting. Really, it just amazes you how a "christian" person is acting. I will never ever trust them. And neither will my wife, who by the way has approved this post.

Yes. I've seen this happen quite a bit...but I don't see that they're true Christians. You may go to church three times a week, and pray every night, but that doesn't mean you possess the spirit of God. I think Jesus expects a certain human kindness.
But I was raised Pentecostal...such hypocrisy in that church.
YES!! He claimed to be really into his church and in the choir and everything. He treated me like crap and only called for sex. Obviously I stopped talking to him!!

My Uncle! He thinks just because he goes to church it makes it ok to treat people poorly. His wife and kid dislike him and so do the rest of the family. Not sure why they aren't divorced other than it might happen when my cousin graduates next year. I won't let him near my son or my family.

No. All the people I know who say they're Chrisitians at least TRY to do the right thing. Nobody's perfect. People just notice it more when people say they're Christian, then they really screw up. If someone's screwing people over all the time, they're not really Christian. The word Christian means, "Christ-like." When you really get to know some true, Bible living Christians, you'll see the difference.

Over the centuries people have abused religious teachings (Christians included) for their own private agendas. We cannot be Christians if we pervert and manipulate Jesus' teachings; we can be Christians only by endeavoring to submit to them and to obey them.
Yes, that's very common. A lot of uneducated people pretend to be Christians and then abuse it to get what they want...when really they have no idea what they're talking about it.
Don't let those people bother you...they're not real Christians.
Yes totaly! But don't get me started on that..just to say that some so called "christians" do way worse stuff against their fellow man, than people who know they are so called "not saved".
That's the whole point of being one.
