His mother owns the hub of live-comedy in Los Angeles for about 3-4 decades now... as a family business... and he's probably earning from that, in managing it, by now... he's got to be 50 years old or better? and I think he was in his 30's when he played a So Cal teenager on MTV and in those 80's movies... (he should thank his mom for the career that WE remember)...
In fact, if I was him.. I'd spend my days creating some sort of homage to his MOTHER for what she'd done.. either a HBO special or a major Los Angeles comedy jam at the place (which they've done per anniversaries?) or create a TV show of comedy that doesn't need any WRITERS?
He's probably enjoying a NICE and relaxed life, poolside and trying to work off the excess 30-pounds, scoring newbie starlets by Who He Was and that he's a Producer (everyone in LA has a current "project" that they can TALK ABOUT at a bar of over dinner, that they send over to imdb)... hiding the bald spots... going to Vegas.. like most middle aged L.A. men/bachelors.. (I don't recall him marrying or being a father?)

I have no idea who Pauly Shore is, but some times with famous people, they do something great or they be in a great movies, or they have a smash hit, and then they dissapear into the depths of fame. This is probably what happened or he's just doing small stuff on the side.
Who knows? He never had any real talent anyway.

For the one who said he was 50 lol he's not even 40 yet (next month he will be though). Also I'm a bit jealous of Pauly Shore, he had Sam Kinison as a babysitter!! That had to have rocked! The best comedian ever! Infact if you watch "Pauly Shore is dead" (2003) it explains alot about fame and what could happen. It also has cameos by Britney Spears (before she flipped out), Paris and Nicky Hilton (could've done without seeing those two whores), Verne Troyer (Mini Me), and lots more and such a beautiful tribute to Sam Kinison.
I believe he attempted a reality TV come back within the last 1-2 years. I’m not sure what became of it, but he defiantly brings back adolescent laughs!
