What's so wrong with Marilyn Manson?!
Question: I answered a question today where someone asked what our favorite band was. I looked on that same question later to find that I had 4 thumbs down and 1 thumbs up while everyone else had no thumbs down. What's so wrong with Marilyn Manson? I mean, sure he's different, but he has a right to express himself. I find nothing graphic in his music, and don't see why some parents don't allow their children to listen to him. (My dad doesn't like me listening to him.) And if it's about those stupid rumors about the ribs removed or breast implants, that's absurd. I read in his autobiography that none of that is true. People can say anything these days and others believe it. So I wanna know your opinion. Why don't you like him?

I agree that people have the freedom to express themselves, but I also agree that parents have the right to control what their kids listen to. To the first answer, learn to use spell check. To the second answer, you are contributing to the exact rumors that the asker is talking about. C'mon, do you really think that Marilyn Manson had a bunch of puppies killed at a show??? Honestly, it is absolutely absurd. It's just like people thought Ozzy bit the head off a bat and spit it into the audience. It never happened. He is a performing artist, and while some might find him extreme, I just see it as self expression.

The ribs removed thing was a rumor? Wow I totally thought that was real. Well, I heard that at a concert one time he threw some puppies into the audience and sais that he wouldn't preform untill these puppies were dead, and everyone stomped them to death.
Also, isn't his girlfriend like, half his age? And the fact that they actually had sex in one of his music videos is kinda wierd if you ask me...

He's a freak who tells it like it is! I like him. People are bound, by nature, to dislike anything or anybody who falls out of the norm, so you know, Marylin is all right.
I heard he's a devil worshiper, that's why! He's satanic, and he makes it clear. I guess if your okay with that, then... there is no reason not to like him.
Okay first off, I LOVE Marilyn Manson's music.
I have been listening to him since I was in grade 10....11 years ago....wow.
Anyway, you really should try LISTENING to his lyrics, they are most definatly graphic lyrics, amoung other words I could use...lol.
I AM a mom. I listen to MM BUT, I sure as **** wouldn't let my 4 year old listen to it!!
When my sons are old enough to understand entertainment from reality, I hope I can attend many more Marilyn Manson concerts with them!
Ya, there are lots of ignorant !*#^"S out there, who make up stupid stories on him, but hey...thats entertainment, and I have to admit, I thought the article in the enquirer about him surgically having his rib removed so he could give himself head, was QUITE entertaining.
He is AWESOME in concert as well. Which brings me to another point. He ripped up a bible on stage. .....you dont think that this is "graphic"?
Marilyn Manson IS graphic, I think he would be insulted if you said otherwize. He means to be....its his thing...lol.
