I guess when you become famouse you have access to everything,,including the things that kill you,,

no; drugs are.

I don't know much about the case although I know that poor and non-famous people do the same.

These tragedies occur in families outside the media spotlight, we just don't hear about them. The pressures on young people these days is massive.

I'm sure again, this question has something to do with the passing of heath ledger today, and its terrible. yes seems though it is destroying young lives

some famous people think they are cool and think taking drugs will make them cooler
it dosent it ends up killing them
like heath ledger

Yes! I can't name five child actors who aren't destroyed. I can name countless who are!

I don't think it's the fame so much as too much money too young and the scum that flock around the famous.

I don't know, but I'm starting to get a little confused here.

Life is really sad, and it does suck half of the times.

I wish things could be done better and definately different if you know what i mean.

Life is short and deaths like this is so horrible expecially at a young age.

It's a shame.

You know I was bias on this topic after thinking about it but my answer is no. These actors have the upperhand b/c they are famous and are easily seen in the magazines/articles we read. Although, we don't know who they really are as people. The media likes to twist anything they hear... These talented, young actors are just like us with feelings, problems, etc... They just get publicized b/c they are actors. This happens in ordinary world not just Hollywood! Fame just means paparrozi gets to follow you around like hawks... but in all reality they are just like us!!

I think it is, but when I think of fame destroying young lives, I think of people like Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears who were pushed into the limelight when they were so young. I don't believe fame destroyed Heath Ledgers life. I don't think it was a drug overdose that killed him.

although the cause of death hasn't been determined yet so lets not think that he was just another victim of drug abuse. in fact his manager has stated that he had pneumonia and he suffered from depression there could have been a drug interaction. At least that is what i am hoping for. The fact is many young talents do get sucked into drinking and drugs. You have to admit how alluring it can be....when you come from nothing and all of a sudden you are thrust in the lime light, people come out of the wood work with their hands open trying to get a piece of you, and so many doors are opened (the places you can get into the things you can buy). I don't know what the answer is....I wish I did but i think that the people close to them need to keep them on the ground instead of just trying to soak them. I also think that we need to find other people to look up to and show our children that educators, parents and grandparents can be heroes even more so then the people in the entertainment industry.

I personally think the paparazzi are destroying these young artists, but while the public keep demanding it they will keep doing it.
They didn't learn from the death of Diana, so whats's gonna stop them now? say what you will but I think it's so tragic and I for one feel sorry for these celebrities.

R.I.P Heath Ledger

Get help! Amy Winehouse

It's not fame destroying young lives, it's drugs. They're all popping pills and snorting powder - because they've been told that it's the cool thing to do. It's very sad. :-/

Am afraid it is

the more richer they get, the more screwed up they get

shocked to hear Health Ledger is dead!!! He was even nominated for oscar

Judging by Heath Ledger,Britney Spears and Amy Winehouse I would say the answer is a resounding Yes!

As I see it, when you have millions of pounds/dollars you can buy anything you want, a big flash house, a fleet of nice cars, every gadget you can get, then when you have all of that, there is nothing left, only drugs. Then the problems start and their lives end.

the huge amount of money they earn is, most of the young people can't handle that amount of money and don't know what to spend it on next, as for Heath, well he obviously intended to take too many tablets as one alone apparently wasn't working (as he's been quoted as saying) so it wasn't accidental but intentional, he knew the risks but quite frankly didn't care, if they can't take the heat they shouldn't be in showbiz, they earn enough money while us paupers have alot of stress just worrying how to get food on the table and pay the bills, I frankly don't care about his death...next!!!!
