Hundreds of poor die on a daily basis, that is not news. Wealthy actors die less frequently which therefore makes them more news worthy.
Both matter...the reason why it seems that a celebrity gets more attention is coz they are well known and whatever they do or happens to them gets noticed.Thats life!

Both matter. However, Heath Ledger is most talked about, because everyone knew who he was.

To belittle one persons or several peoples deaths over another's is disrespectful to the family and friends affected.
it doesnt matter if you are a wealthy actor or a poor person. whichever one dies they would still have familly and friends that loved them. a wealthy actors familly will still be devasted long after its out of the news. and a poor persons family will still be devastated when the next actor comes into the news. everyone matters whatever and whoever they are.
There is no one person that matters more or less. And in this case its not about money its about social status... money just plays apart. People are heard differently according to their social status. For example: If you were to die you would want everyone to know family, friends ect... And they would via Phone calls, news papers ect... Heath is famous and is very well known throughout the world, everyone new him or heard of him deserve to know of his death . Both people are as important as one another, but in order to tell everone that had heard of or new Heath the media has too be involved. Its not about importance or who matter most its about your surronding...

Lots of people know him (albeight not personally) and therefore are sad about his death. It is sad when anyone dies, you cannot compare.
I am in mourning for my dad who died two weeks ago, but I still have enough compassion to be sad about Heath ledger, and to know what his poor family are going through. All the riches in the world wont compensate for his loss.
obviously the poor people who are dying out of no fault of their own in Africa etc is far more worrying than some idiot who intentionally took too many sleeping pills and knew it to be risky, he obviously didn't give a damn, too much money on their hands while people die because they don't have basic sanitation, including thousands of little children and people worry about rich stars who die because of their own stupidity, what a crazy celebrity obsessed world we live in, so utterly sad and shows the state society has gotten it self into, if people like Britney Spears spent some time with starving kids in Africa she'd soon have something to genuinely worry about, these spoilt brats have no idea how the other half live and shame on people on give these tossers the time of day!
