Not really. We don't know what was going on in his head. Maybe he suffered from mental illness or a tortured childhood.
I was very sad to hear about this. I think he had many promising roles and a great career ahead of him. They say money doesn't equal happiness. RIP Heath
Yes, a tragedy indeed, but we don't know any real details, just "things" that have leaked to the media, and I haven't heard from any credible sources, anything negative or leaning towards him taking his own life (or anything other than the fact that he will be terribly missed and he was a great actor, for that matter). Let us just hope that his daughter will be able to have all the support and love she needs, it's going to be tough for her to grow up without her daddy. She's only 2 years old, and this is going to be very difficult for her, poor dear.
He was such a great young man so full of talent and i feel for his wife and baby and his parents too,this is a real heart break for everyone me included ...
Why is everyone assuming that he was a closeted drug abuser and close to suicide? I'm not saying he wasn't, but last I heard the autopsy is still inconclusive.
Maybe he just unknowingly overdosed on sleeping pills.
Heath Ledger was one of the least superficial actors of today. He was a humble, private, and passionate actor who dedicated his all to projects that displayed acting range rather than good looks. He preferred to challenge himself artistically and rejected roles that didn't force him to truly get outside of himself and change his accent or the way he looked and lived his life.
He was a simpleton in his life: a happy father, son, friend, and actor who did not commit suicide. He was on sleeping pills, as he said in interview, because of the hectic state his body was in during the filming of the "Dark Knight" in which he played the joker and he was also experiencing walking pneumonia which he contracted while in London filming another project less than a week before his death that left his body in an even worse state.
My thoughts are with his father, mother, daughter, and friends whom he loved and was loved by very much. Wherever he is I wish for him to know that he will truly be missed and shall be remembered for his passionate, artistic, humble, and genuine personality.

Money doesn't cure the human problems we all have. The tests came back but no clear reason for his death yet. Many, many people have sleeping problems and accidents happen all the time.
Here are several condition that would make something become evil or bad;
1) Having too much
2) Getting them without effort (keep coming, coming and coming)
3) Naming them inappropriately or bad
4) Totally depending on them
5) Being less aware of their value to others.
How many of them that a celebrity you know does have?
There are many people who are still living peacefully without money. Those people pick things from their environment and share to others to continue their life. Unfortunately, they are living in isolated areas (in the middle of the jungle or the sea) in the country where I am from.
I believe that actually 'the need' and 'the ambition to have' is the root of all devils. Whatever you need, learn from the five above.
It was such sad news to hear about Heath Ledger's death yesterday. Im still in shock. I just cant get over the fact that Heath Ledger was found dead yesterday. That was such a sad tragedy. My heart goes out to his family in their time of loss and mourning. Heath was such a talented and gifted young actor. He was just only 28 years old. His 2 year old daughter Matilda will grow up without her daddy. Poor little thing. I saw on the news today that the New York Corners Office say that they need at least 10 more days to find out more about what exactly caused Heath Ledger's death. So sad what a tragedy
