i think for some celebs is def all about being famous, but for others it really is all about acting/singing. they have love and passion for it and that's what they're meant to be doing. just like some people want to be doctors, or teachers, because that's what they love.
but it is unfair what the media is doing to heath ledger because he wasn't a media whore- he never did anything but act and be talented.

I hear ya.....Id LOVE to be able to buy what ever I want, travel, never worry about paying my bills....but in all honesty I dont think I could handle the media....I think Id be like Sean Penn & punch one of in the freaking face.....people are cruel

most people aren't in it to be considered celebrities. They do what they love, think about all of the Marilyn Monroe qoutes, she loved what she did but look what happened to her, the same thing. Heath Ledger did not die on purpose! There is a lot more to "celebs" than what meets the eye, do you really think they like all the attention they get? i mean think about it . . . seeing false gossip and pictures of yourself you didnt want people to see all over the news and magazines. When it was announced that jamie lynn was pregnet EVEYONE knew about it, my teacher knew about it, ok? thats sad. haha. I cant even begin to imagine what they must feel like everyday....

I'm sure Johnny Depp would rather be the celebrity he is rather than some guy with a desk job. If he weren't a celebrity he wouldn't get all the attention he does, because he is below-average in appearance, but as a celebrity a magical force field makes women think they are attracted to him.
There's this question: do you want to be a star or an actor? A star meant popularity. An actor meant doing a lot of work with blood and sweat. It's not just the media sucks, but the ones who made the rumors idealistic to show it to everyone. Same with the newspapers. And no one's perfect but of course, everyone deserves respect. *It's like what happened to Saddam right?*
I am still shocked about Heath Ledger, I beleive he would have gone on to win a lot of reknown as a very talented actor.
If you think what the media did was bad, some woman from the Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka Kansas, are going to picket his memorial because, AND GET THIS, because he played a gay cowboy in Brokeback Mountain. Just go and read the wikiapeadia on this so called church. I have never heard of a church sprouting so much hate.
