Question: This morning a friend sent me a link to that wacky Tom Cruise Scientology video that's popping up around the internet. I watched it and I have to say, I was VERY confused by all of his rambling ... so I looked up Scientology on Wikipedia. And I was very shocked to see the names on the list of celebrities involved with it. You always hear about Cruise, Travolta, Isaac Hayes, Lisa Marie Presley and Kirstie Alley, but I had no idea ....
Anne Archer, Beck, Catherine Bell, Ethan Suplee, Chaka Khan, Chris & Danny Masterson, Jason Lee, Corin Nemic, Edgar Winter, Erika Christensen, Giavanni & Marissa Rabisi, Greta Van Sustren, Jenna Elfman, Juliette Lewis, Leah Remini

To be honest, I don't even know any of these except Candice Bergen, Oliver Stone, Sharon Stone, Jason Lee and Leah Remini. Wow! That IS shocking!
Don't forget Tom's new conversion: Katie Holmes. Kelly Preston is also a Scientologist. Wow. Package deal huh?
Did you know they actually have a Celebrity Centre for Scientology? Scientology has had a written program governing celebrity recruitment since at least 1955, when L. Ron Hubbard created "Project Celebrity", offering rewards to Scientologists who recruited targeted celebrities. Celebrities get free courses in Scientology. Apparently Travolta has had over 100,000 dollars of courses on Scientology for free because he's famous.

Oliver Stone? That is really shocking.
I'm actually surprised to see those names. Those people haven't advertised it so I didn't know. I don't have a problem with people choosing that religion but Tom Cruise is doing more to create a bad public image for it than anything else. His behavior and comments are really turning off the public and I think it is adversely affecting his movie career. He's not nearly as popular today as he was a few years ago.
