well when they first started there was nick carter, a.j. mclean, howie dorough, Sam Licata (later performing as Phoenix Stone), and Charles Edwards in 1992
sam and charles left because of creative differences
so then kevin richardson auditioned and made it and called brian littrell, his cousin to audition too. they officially formed in 1993.
and that's how it came to be
unfortunately kev left on june 24, 2006.
