Why do actors that we've never heard of become unsuccessful?!

If you have never heard of them, then they didn't have a very successful acting career. That made them unsuccessful.

Since you never heard of them, they were never successful in the first place. you can't become unsuccessful if you never had success.
Generally, they're unsuccessful because most people have never heard of them. A big part of being an actor is getting your name out there (not necessarily being a celebrity but having a reputation as a good actor)
That's kind of like asking "How come famous people that we've heard of are successful?"
MAYBE THEY'RE NOT SUCCESSFUL BECAUSE WE'VE NEVER HEARD OF THEM OR THEIR WORK!
Um... because you never heard of them. Largely because someone either sucks as an aspiring actor, or like one person I can think of in particular who was talented though mostly known by his own generation, the business gets so hooked on using the "look at me" types who love the public spotlight and markets them to the public and they don't give them (the lesser noticed people) the chances that they deserve.
