obviously he would be enormously famous if he was still alive, but if you notice in the world of music, the fact that some musicians are dead increase their popularity! just look at jimi hendrix, he played for a while and he was famous at the time, but as soon as he died, suddenly everyone was thinking "boo hoo jimi we hardly knew ya!" and also look at stevie ray vaughan, they made some replicas of one of his guitars, (cant remember how many they made) while he was alive, then not too long after, he died, and those guitars values SKYROCKETED!!!! so yea john would still have a major impact on the world, an as for when u said "I would like to think he could have brought peace and harmony to the world"...john is only human. i think he could have brought SOME harmony to the world, but not nearly as much as we need. but i too would like to think he couldve brought peace and harmony to the world.
He tried when he was alive. He was a peaceful man with a cause and I believe maybe he could have been some sort of Humanitarian or Goodwill Ambassador, although he wasn't really well received by our government. His music has been alive since his senseless murder (on my birthday!) and I believe he'd still be writing today. His message of peace lives on only to have been stronger if he was alive to deliver it.
he would team up with Angelina Jolie and they would adopt beautiful babies together and be ambassadors for the world.
I think he would"ve used his music to greater effect than he did in the 70"s ? - he would probably go on speaking tours-both musical and political,proposing agendas of peace & reconcilliation between antagonising groups. I believe he would publically attack America for its war against terror,and its hypocrisy views of peace when in fact it has brought mayhem,destruction & death to foreign countries - Iraq,Afganistan? He definetly would make a stand against human violations by the Us in the name of freedom / peace.
He would probably be in some rest home, because he fried his brain.

I watched John Lennon go from a respectable man to one who flaunted and used illegal drugs, one who mocked Christianity, who even said the Beatles were greater than Jesus Christ, and one who also exposed himself on album covers. Videos show him arguing with Pat Buchanan during his bed in with Yoko, where they sleep together in for a week in a store window.
