I've met many 'famous" people but my favorite would be meeting Jimmy Stewart outside the stadium when I was in San Diego for the Super Bowl in 1988
David Carradine when I was shown where he lived in Malibu in 1981 when he wasn't that known. I went there and knocked on his door and they let me in when I said I was a college student who needed to use the telephone because I was lost! My friend was in his car up the street and waiting for me. They led me into the kitchen of David Carradine's house and it really was his house! I was so excited, and I picked up the phone and pretended to dial a number but dialed the operator. At that time (1981) you could call the operator and ask what number I was at, and she would give you that number so the operator gave me David's number and I went home after that seeing he wasn't in. I started calling and became friends with almost everyone on the phone who picked up, including his then wife who invited me to the house and we sat around smoking bud and reading David Carradine's fan mail. Then years later his dad died in 1988 and I called to say sorry, but they thought I was someone from family and invited me up for funeral. Next day I met David in the flesh at his re wedding vows in same church as the funeral was and I have video to prove this. Jimmy Conner and Chris Evert at a tennis match, Michael Jordan in 1989, Larry Bird when he was in college in Indiana, Meryl Strep at her husbands art opening, Dolly Parton at a CVS in Tennesee with her husband Carl Dean I probably have one of the few pictures of them together.

James Drury who starred in the TV series, The Virginian. I used to tend bar at a small town outside of Salem, OR and always stopped at the Denny's on the way home for breakfast. James Drury called to place an order, of course Denny's doesn't usually deliver, but I told Gretchen the waitress if she could get permission from the manager, I would use my car and drive her to the motel they were at. James met us at the door, in his boxers, no less. We stayed and visited for about 30 minutes then returned to Denny's.
