Hi,

If it wasn't your mom, it must have been:
Matthew Seligman -
who was part of the "Round the World in 6 Months" tour that began in the UK in April, 1984. By July they had reached Boulder, Colorado and the line-up for that concert is still on the web at a geocities site (see sources below):
Thomas Dolby - keyboards, piano, vocals
Debra Barsha - keyboards, synthesizers, vocals
Lyndon Connah - synthesizers
Matthew Seligman - bass
Chucho Merchan - guitars, vocals
Justin Hildreth - drums, percussion, samples
Leslie Fairbain - backing vocals

A review in the New York Times chides Dolby for his lack of expressive vocals and inability to stay in tune, but does admit his style is reminiscent of Peter Gabriel and David Bowie.

By the way, 84 was the year he got his Fairlight synthesiser - his was the 3rd in the world of the famed midi/sampler/synth that exceded the capabilities of all those before it - the first 2 were had by Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush. No surprise!

Short form - the bass player was indeed
Matthew Seligman.

your mom.

Or no, I cant remember either. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Don't get upset Kiteeze! Lots of trolls on here tonight itching for points.
Matthew Selignam or Selingman was the name I found cropping up when I did my search ... don't know if he's the one you want!
But anyways, Thomas Dolby was wicked!
Hope you find your answer!
I am in such a sweet mood tonight!
Might have to change my name from swarmy to charmy ....
