Julie Christie for Away from Her

Laura Linney for The Savages
Ellen Page for Juno
I think Julie Christie or Marion Cotillard should win. They were both really good. Julie Christie has won both the SAG and the Golden Globe and usually when someone wins the Golden Globe or the SAG and get an Oscar nom, they win.

Julie Christie should win. But I wouldn't be to disappointed if Marion Cotillard or Cate Blanchett won. If some how Ellen Page won I would be very disappointed. Juno was good but I don't think it's Oscar worthy and if she did win she would be remembered for the rest of her life as Juno.
So yeah, go Julie, Cate, or Marion.
And some other thoughts: Marion got a nom for a supporting actress for a golden globe but yet she gets a nom for leading actress for an Oscar? Is the leading actress or the supporting actress.

I never miss the Oscars! I have hardly ever seen the films before the ceremony so it's hard to judge. So much of our opinion on potential winners is based on the "buzz" in Hollywood about a particular actor or film. There are always winners who are given their Oscars for their career rather than their performance (think Michael Caine in Cider House Rules). This year Julie Christie will likely be one of those.
I'd like to see Ellen Page or Laura Linney win.
