Leonardo has a wider range of acting abilities. He has mastered many different accents.
Leonardo for sure. He was so good as a disabled kid in 'whats eating gilbert grape' plus he just shows pure talent in all of his other movies. He's fantastic =]

They are both good actors. I am leaning more to Leonardo DiCaprio because of these movies: The Departed, The Aviator, Titanic, Blood Diamonds, and Catch Me If You Can.

leonardo is a way better actor
They are both good in their own ways.
Looking at movies like Hostage -- Willis has a more 'motivated, bad guy' look & vibe.
At the same time Leonardo can be a romantic & badass as seen in Titanic & The Departed.
They play such different roles, it's so hard to choose! I have to say, when Leo came back to acting (from his short break) he was SO much better, probably because he was all grown up. They are both fabulous actors and I can't really compare the two. Bruce Willis seems to play Bruce Willis more than anything, but he is perfect. Leo plays a wider range of characters. Acting ability I say they are dead even, but for wider range I would have to go with Leonardo DiCaprio. He really won me over in The Departed.
