I don't think she is racist. I think she has racial pride and wants to see the situation of black people in general get better and there's nothing wrong with that. She is also a feminist and wants to see women do better too, and I think she has gone a long way in helping women to do that. She realizes how the deck was stacked against her as a black woman and how amazing it is that she got where she is today, and how hard she had to work to get there.
I think that we are all a little racist! I live not far from where Oprah grew up in NC, and I must say that the south in general perpetuates racism among blacks and whites. If giving your money away is how we judge her level of racism, then I must say that she is the most non-racist person in the world, next to Bill Gates who gave away 45 billion of his 90 billion dollars to charity in 2005. She donates huge amounts of money to predominantly white organizations as well as to predominantly black organizations. I have heard her say some things that blacks could take as racist, and I have heard her say things that whites could portray as racist. She's a wonderful woman, in my opinion, not to mention rich as hell. I don't see her as a racist personally, but then again I may be a little biased being that I am a black woman and can only see the world through those eyes.
I don't think so she is supporting Obama right, so in my opinion she wants change she can believe in.
