Why all the fuss about Pete Dickerty and Amy Winelodge?!

Question: When I was a lad in the sixties, rock stars were SUPPOSED to be wasted on booze and drugs. It gave my whole generation something to aspire to. What's changed?

sadly times have changed vambo.

some of the great rock 'n' roll greats of the sixties partied hard and lived the dream

who can forget ken dodd, the rolls royce and the swimming pool?

as for bernard cribbins drowning in his own vomit !

i agree with you - some of these new pop stars don't know they're born - just look at that gareth yates and his mate phil young.

They didnt know the dangers of drugs back then, they know now...but they still do it.

Mass communication has advanced so much, and there's a bloodthirsty interest in celebrities who indulge.

1. Please do not use the words 'rock star' and Any Winehouse and Pete Doherty in the same sentence.

They have minimal talent.

2. No one knew how bad booze and drugs were for you then...long term effects.

3. This is the 21st century. People should be striving to do better.

They're both amazingly talented people who are throwing their life away by dabbling in drugs & alcohol - which is probably gonna be the premature death of them.
