Think of the word, Celbritae, Celebrity. We celebrate there existence or we celebrate our own.
I do not buy into that media hype where the purpose is to sell cosmetics and clothes so that others can mimic the one on the cover this week.

These days...it seems to be all about 'image'...what you can make the public perceive...or believe. Fake? Yes.
It seems that lip-synching, choreographed stage shows have replaced the spontaneity of former days. I don't remember the public ever saying "Please...don't actually sing...I just want you to shake like a **** and mouth the words!"...but it seems that this got shoved down the public's throat...like it or not.
Of course the 'boy bands' strut an pose ...rather than do the trollop act.
They are all fake, thats why it's called showbusiness
