If it's a major celebrity/band, then they probably have a publicist who deals with that stuff and may pass on some highlights. They may even read though some of the comments personally, but I seriously doubt they are going to spend the time to read and/or replay to thousands of comments.
If it's an up and coming actor/musician/comedian they may check it themselves and reply personally. In part because they never know when a comment/message might turn into a break.

probably their 50 million assistants. They probalby can't give out too much personal info, so they just have some random person who sits on their butt all day filter all taht stuff. Plus, I don't think celebs have that kind of time
Most likely no. They probably have their "people" do it for them. Sometimes you will come across a somewhat humble celebrity who actually does.

of course they don't, well most of them don't, only the lame celebrities that aren't busy check their myspace.

I think it depends on the band, If its a popular well known band like AFI or The Used then they most likly have someone who checks it for them, but if its like a local band then they check it them self

most of them dont even reply

some of them post bulletins telling about what they did that day and stuff.
just look for stuff like that and you can tell

Weird Al does, and yes, it's really him. He's said so repeatedly in interviews. ^_^ But then, he's one of those few that goes out of his way for his fans (which is on reason why his fans are so loyal).
I think some of them do. I have Randy Jackson (Michael and Janet's brother) on my myspace and I have written him messages before and have gotten responses from him. I just think it depends on the celebrity really.
I think they have secret Myspaces just for their good friends and are more into those.
If they attained fame recently, I'd say yes...but someone like Brad Pitt or Michael Jackson is so used to it that it can't provide much entertainment for them.
I think so. But I also think they may have assistents that do that for them
I have some older celebs from the 70s, etc.. that I know are them.
Don't go round checking to see if they check....
but I know 'my celeb' logs in every other week... :)
