Well, he *is* very popular with Trekkies, and the same thing goes here. Hannah Montana appeals to a wider range of girly individuals who identify with her! >_> Personally, to me, she's just a kid with a horrid attitude and too much money. But to them, she's what they hope to be. She's got attitude, she's got style, she's successful...and society is shallow. What else can you expect?

I identify with Spock, spoiled girls identify with Hannah Montana.
she is the ONLY girl singer that are for ages 1-14. When i was young there was britney christiana and tons more.. Today she is the only female singer/actress of her age group. Her songs are clean and I like her too! Report It

    I luv her myself. For kids my age(13) she is a role model. I think her songs mean a lot to us kids. she is a HUGE role model and pretty and she is jujst so nice and cool.
    Its just that shes so real, shes not fake like other stars. And shes a really good role model. Her songs deal with real life situations, and shes a really good singer.
    Nothing really. She just applies to children. She's not really that great and there are more children than adults so it makes her just that much more popular.
    From a dad....Miley is popular because people adore her! She is harmless and a good influince on her fans!

    Im confused why anybody would even ask that question or if they were not a fan why they would even care!

    Who knows! I hate her, not only because she stole my name, but she's a total fake! No one can act on her show, and on her show she is two different people on and off stage. Not only that, but she is legally changing her name to Miley Ray Sirus! This girl has some serious issues. I think she has split personality disorder! With all of these girls idolizing her, let's hope she's not the next Lindsey Lohan!

    She's been on TV for a long time, and has a group of kids that have grown up with her. Her stories, while trite, so address some of the issues of growing up. She has the same trials and problems in her life as Miley that they do -- yet she is also a super star -- probably a dream many children have.
    Because Disney puts subliminal messages in their commercials that say "love Hannah Montana" and "love the Jonas brothers".
    She is promoted as a teen/preteen superstar and as the daughter of Miley.
