Why do most celebrities have a " I'm better than you " attitude?!

Because people idolize them. They constantly hear about how beautiful and talented they are. Their every move is documented in magazines and on the internet. The only logical explanation (in their eyes) is that they are better than most of the people who admire them.
It's natural to become arrogant when you're constantly praised. It happens to kids who do well in school or sports, people who are successful in their line of work, etc. We've all seen people who are full of themselves and it's because they are told that they are the best and truly believe it.
Also, for celebrities, it's gotta get annoying to constantly have people hounding you for autographs, talking about what you wear, who you're dating, etc. There's no privacy. Even celebrities who do remain relatively humble are probably going to act aloof in public just to get people to leave them alone! They recognize that they are famous b ecause we admire them, but that doesn't give the public the right to harass them all the time. I can see the desire to be left alone!

some celebrities appear that way but they actually dont. Others are just very vain and are spoiled from stardom so others,unluckily do have this attitude.
Paris hilton- Shed be in the loony bin anyways + Miley cyrus, she used to be so sweet.
They become, what you are tell they are. They also deflate like a balloon when you take your finances and admiration. away from them. You have to constantly stroke their ego's or they fall totally apart. So sad, for a few hours of glory. and a lot of times they wind up being the loser they were before the fame. Some even wind up dead.
because the majority of Americans treat them as if they are some sort of royalty, they are over paid, practically worshiped, and given special treatment. they have cameras in their faces, everywhere they go, because apparently everyone wants to know when they go to the bathroom and what it looked like. that kind of treatment goes to their heads. they shoul make the same amount of money as the average joe. the ones out there working 15 hr. days, 7 days a week just to survive. the ones who have back troubles, and never see their kids, who are working on their feet all day, digging ditches, saving lives, picking up the whole communities trash, serving others their dinners.....where is their big checks?....if we spoil them, then they are going to take full advantage of it and lose touch of reality.
Because everyone treats them like they are better than them. Im sure they didnt start out arrogant, but after years of being told how hot / awsome / etc they are it goes to their head, then just becomes a natural personality trait. And with all the money and adoring fans, no one's going to tell them otherwise. Until their career tanks and they end up doing reality TV on VH1 that is :)
