August 16, 1977 Elvis Presley died at the age of 42. His influence on music was huge , and he passed long before his time and his work was done. I always felt that the world was cheated when he died. I would have loved to see him grow old. The owner of this question may or may not like Elvis, but would have to admit how huge he was. I know alot of celebrities have died young, but no one carried with them as much fame and as many fans world wide as Elvis Presley. May god keep his soul!
