I think it is because she does alot of things under hanah montana and so she is still working under disney, if she stood on her own as miley cyrus and didn use the name hanah montana in concert or on cds i think people would like her more, its just one of those things that she need to break away from to really be big, im not saying stop doing the tv show because that is her acting, but for her singing caeer she should stand seperate from disney and her disney character.
They are jealous because she is like 15 and more successful that most people.. shes pretty and shes living the life of the rich and famous and thats what all these people want.

well we all are different people. Everybody has there own point of view and opinions. Some might not think that she sings good while others think she is good. I don't know why people don't like her, it's there own opinion.

You go girl! I agree that people don't like her for dumb resons. But, there is a reson that I heard one girl tell me. She starts out like a cute child star, just like Lindsay Lohan. They star in a few movies, have a good life, get rich and BAM they start drinking and going to rehab. My friend thinks that is how she is going to turn out. But, I think that she is a grounded, sweet, girl. She is a positive role model for all girls!! GO MILEY!
I don't like Disney manufactured stars. I admire a person who has to work for their fame or earn it, I don't like how Disney cranks out these teen idols. High School Musical, That's So Raven, and of course Hannah Montana, enough is enough.

I don't like her because she's manufactured. There is no credibility in what she's singing, just like Hilary Duff before she was replaced with Miley Cyrus. Sure, she's able to sing, but it's not would I would consider art. Particularly given the fact that her recent MySpace pics are much less "clean" than the disnified image of her.
Sorry if you think that credibility and authenticity don't count for anything, but I, and a lot of other people do.

I think she is talented but just a kid, and she did have an advantage being Billy-Rays daughter which people will always hold against her.
I personally love Miley Cyrus for all the reasons you said. But I think a lot of the dislike IS from the fact that Disney does manufacture "music artists" and "actors". Lately, their crop hasn't been all too good. I mean, the High School Musical kids, and Miley Cyrus have talent, but some people, I think, can't differentiate among the sour apples and the good ones. Like Selena Gomez. She's pretty, and funny, but I don't think she's a very good actor or singer.
Another element of the hate is just the pop music genre in general. A lot of that lately is pretty much all the same sound, same style, and no uniqueness at all. That's where the being unable to differentiate comes in. They see, "Miley Cyrus: Pop Star" or whatever and automatically think, "Oh, she's bad and I hate her" because a lot of the pop music out now is horrible.
And then one other thing is that she's happy and her music IS happy and clean and has a pretty good message. In today's world of gangsta rap with songs called, "I F**ked Yo Mama" and stuff like that, most people aren't used to an artist that actually stands for something positive and automatically shy away from it.
i'm not a teenager so i find her annoying. i also think she is disgusting since i watched her drinking ketchup on a video.

Because she lip syncs. If a singer can't sing live it's a sign that their voice has been messed up pretty badly in the studio.
