You know, American media gets hyped up over the most mundane things; they most likely are catering to the fans. Right now the fans are probably thinking 'OMG, Miley's so cool, LOL' and it's sure as hell going to be in J-14 or whatever magazine that loves her to death.

Because she is a public figure and people look up to her. In other words, if young girls see that she saved an animal, they will want to do the same thing because they want to be like her.
I know seriously! She got a special article as well in popstar magazine because she ordered food at a restraunt and they brought her the wrong meal but she didn't correct them. Everyone was like aw Miley is so sweet! I was like omg stop giving her all these awards. did she find a cure for cancer? did she end poverty or world hunger? I don't think so.
What does she do for the world? Get in everyone's faces and swallow up money for doing nothing that could be going to much better causes. If I was a celeb, I wouldn't just keep all that for myself.
