guinea pigs and good advertising so they can become well known companies and charge for them after a while. It's like how walmart pushed out the other department stores like ames, k-mart ect... they lowered thier prices so they clinched all the costomers and then the other chains couldn't afford to stay in business-therefore walmart took all the costomers and makes plenty of profit.

The companies that participate in this are HUGE pharmaceutical companies ( and ones who do research into new medicines) like PFIZER...they do it because it is good business to do so...people who can afford to pay for them medication do so and they give out free medication to those who can't ...makes them look like a million bucks.
