Was Prince a visionary?!

Question: I noticed that Prince (or the bathroom symbol), or whatever he's called these days, wrote a song "Nothing compares to U" quite a few years ago, before text messaging. Was he thinking and planning ahead? He changed his name to a symbol too, but sadly, everyone kept calling him "the artist formerly known as Prince", which ruined the whole effiiency of words effect. So--my question is...could Prince have been thinking of cell phones and potential future text messaging when he named his song, and tried to shorten his name? YR thoughts?

Yeah, I agree. Do you think he knew the bust Y2K was going to be too when he wrote the song "Party Like It's 1999" back in the 80's.

Yeah. Sinhead O' Connor sang that song to. Was? No, Prince is STILL a visionary to me. Great guitarist (multi-instrumentalist), songwriter, performer and entertainer.

Possibly........way back in the early 80's when "1999" came out--didn't it seems that was sooooo long away?? Turned out to be the song of the century!!!

He was ahead of his time!!!
