Robbie Wiliams?!

Question: Hi! I'm Italian (so I apologize for my English!); I have a curiousity: Is Robbie Wiliams famous only in Europe or ewerywhere in the world? Is he still famous or is he in decay?

I lived in Ireland for 4 years and he was huge there and all over the UK. He tried to make it in America but it didn't really work out, I don't think most people would know who he is. I have lived back in California for the last 3 years and very rarely hear anything about him.

P.S I went to Italy for the first time in January, I LOVE your country!!! Is Robbie Williams popular there?

I think he's in decay, but I'm not sure. He is more famous in Europe.

I dont know who Robbie Williams is but Robyn Williams is very famous.

I'm an American and he was big here for a few years maybe ten or so years ago (he sure isn't anymore), but from everything I've experienced, he seems to be only big in the UK and perhaps Europe. I hear tidbits about him here from time to time, so he must be popular SOMEwhere, right? X3

If you mean Robbin Williams, yeah he is famous in America. He is a great actor! Have a great day.

ha ha i think you mean decline, decay means rotting away,or perhaps decay is the right word ha ha

When I first saw your question, I thought you were referring to "Robin Williams" who most definitely isn't in "decay"! Now that I really look at your question, I see it is "Robbie Williams" and, to be honest, I have never heard of him, but I'm a little older, so it doesn't really surprise me, although I do try to keep up with what's going on. I also just looked online and saw where he is a British singer (Wow - has sold more albums in the U.K. than any British solo artist in history - what about George Michael???), so maybe that's why I've never heard of him. Also, your English is great, except for the use of the word "decay" - that makes it sound like someone is buried in the ground and decaying, which is really a gross image in my heard right now. (HaHa!) You could probably better use the word "decline" for what you are talking about. (I hope someone will give you an answer who has actually heard of this guy!) Good luck.

Edit: Sorry, should have said I'm an American, if you hadn't already figured that out.
