Do You Think It's Fair...?!
Question: I'm 15 and my mom wants me to get a job over the summer, don't most teenagers get jobs when they're like 17 and a junior in high school? I'm the oldest in my family so they just assume that's what you do since they got a job when they were 13. I already baby-sit, but they want me to get a "real job". Please someone tell me if this is fair!! I don't think it is, what can I tell my parents that will convince them otherwise?!?!

You should talk to them. What you are saying IS logical. I got my first OFFICIAL job when I was 17. If you have a regular babysitting job or are paid a good amount, ask your parents if you can just stick with babysitting for now!

Most kids go everywhere looking for a summer job. You're already 15, for gods sake! There are 13-year-olds going out of there way to make a few bucks everyday.
Trust me, there are PLENTY of kids your age with summer jobs, and a bunch more who wish they had them...
Stop complaining and start acting more grown up. You're giving a bad rep to teenagers everywhere...

Talk it over with your parents. Just because they did something when they were young doesnt mean you have to. I mean what if they tried smoking (SOO NOT saying they smoked) when they were 13 does that mean you get to try it?
well i mean jobs aren't that bad you could make money and then buy a ton of kool clothes without you having to ask your parents for money.i do think its kinda fair but not over the summer cuz then i would be soooo pist.
