Don't know. Personally I think they are over-rated.

Don't see the attraction myself. I have 1 and that's it. If you gave me another Beatles CD I wouldn't listen to it.

most of the lyrics are still very relevant

There music is relate-able. Older people like it cuz i reminds them of when they were younger. Im 21 and i like it, cuz most of it still fits, plus its just happy music or its got a deep meaning. Just listen to the lyrics to "Yesterday". I don't think there the greatest group ever. But, there def not overrated.

each song is wicked. i can always listen to the beatles. and have you seen the vids to their music? they're cool!

It was their musical influence.
When the Beatles first arrived on the music scene,we were essentially inundated with mundane pop records.
Although their earlier music were covers of american blues, they were writing their own music ("The one after 909" which appears years later on their Let It Be album was actually written in 1959 by John). When they hit the charts in 1963,they were writing their own lyrics and music which was virtually unheard of.
"The Beatles" also gave The Rolling Stones their first top twenty hit with "I Wanna Be Your Man" such was their influence their songs have been covered by several artists throughout the years ,Elvis , Frank Sinatra,to name but two.

That is just their lyrical influence not to mention their use of musical experimentation, they were the first western band to use the sitar on records, they were the first to use experimental promotional videos "Penny Lane/Strawberry Fields"
Although a lot of credit should undoubtedly go to the genius of the fifth Beatle George Martin. The influence of The Beatles cannot be understimated from writing catchy pop songs or rock and roll to their musical arrangements and experimentation.Their influence is still around today and probably will be for many, many years to come.

Avada- Cadavra.

the Harry Potter killing spell.
