OLDER U.k. people???!

Question: Does anyone remember the advert YEARS AND YEARS ago - maybe 1960`s or early 1970`s - I THINK Norman Collier did it and it was for cadburys Roses and he said "ROSES GROW ON YOU!" - WAS IT Norman Collier because my boyfriend just said that I am wrong and we`re having an argument about it and he said If I am right and He is wrong he will give me a thousand pounds.... Am I right??????

It was Norman Vaughan, and also a very annoying ad, in my opinion, Norman Collier was in the "Comedians" and the main feature of his "act" was a broken microphone, original to the time and performed perfectly in my view. Ahhh the good old days" lol. You just lost a grand hon, sorry!!!
