What's with the illigitmate births of celebrities?!

Question: i mean they should be ashamed of them selves for promoting fornication. i mean is marriage so hard that it's forgotten and it's ok to have bastard children. everyone picks on britney but at the end of the day she was married when she conceived her kids, unlike shar jackson,k-fed's other babies mama, angelina(and an adulterer),halle berry, michelle williams, katie holmes, and nicole richie, and jamie lyn spears.

i have respect for celebrities like christina aquleria, melissa joan hart, julia roberts, and tori spelling. they at least waited until they were married to start their families.

why is it acceptable for this behavior, especially when they know young girls look up to them.

It certainly seems to be the trend but it certainly isn't new. It is better accepted in todays culture but I would rather have mine (and did) born inwedlock. But, I do not judge people who did. If they take care of and love their children, I see no problem.

I don't think it's just Hollywood. I think that Society is changing. I hear about a lot of people having kids first and then getting married later.
I don't think there is anything wrong with it. It's just different.

However, I don't think you should call people or their children "bastards". That is rude and uncalled for.

Oh yeah lets hold Britney up as a beacon of righteousness. isn't she also a divorcee? MIND YOUR OWN YOU'LL LIVE LONG. It's not like they want you to support their kids.

I am not a "celebrity lover" I am a judgmental person hater.

I agree. A child is a lifelong responsibility and not only is it sinful, but it completely effects the kids. There is no guarantee they will have two parents around loving them.

See you can't go there if you are gonna give props to Christina Aguillerra and those other people.Because then the debate is what is acceptable and what is not.And you clearly have not made a case. While I agree people need to get married and such if they want to do that. But the people you praised.Especially Christina have pretty much made it public knowledge they weren't virgins when they got married.
So...The big issue is why aren't people waiting to get married to have sex 1. and to have kids 2.Christina wasn't a virgin.Just because she got married and had a kid in wedlock still does not negate the fact she was doing ACTS that potentially creates life before SHE got married.Oh she waited when she was married to get knocked up.She still had to have sex and could have still gotten pregnant. She just prevented before with some form of birthcontrol. You can't pat on the back one because they were married while shaking the fingers at the others..because the ones married were doing it before too. They just didn't get knocked up.

Most celebrities "fornicate", as do most people today, and your point seems a little self-righteous. Do you think this didn't happen 50 or 60 years ago? People weren't as open about it, but that just meant that there were more back-street abortions, and a lot of people were stuck in horrendous situations.

Religion has been used to justify great cruelty, and you should learn some social history before you get on your moral high horse.

Well I agree with the person who said society is changing. Unfortunately it is, not in a good way. I agree with you they should be married to have children, but there's a lot of things right now going on that I don't agree with.
This world is getting pretty ****** and I'd way rather have lived a few centuries ago. I hate it, and I hate the obsession every one has with whoever has more money or is more famous than them. It's ridiculous.
The human design is flawed, and if we don't drastically change our ways (and no, I don't just mean "I'm going to stop driving my car as much to stop polluting so much) or we're in for a mass extinction. = People are all going to die if they don't stop being so ignorant.

Celebrities are not gods, they are people just like the rest of us. The only difference is 30 years ago the press would not publish any thing like that. The girl would go away until after the child was born. And no one would ever know except her family.

Judgment, judgment, judgment. Fornication is just one of the sins on the list--maybe you should re-read about Christ's Sermon on the Mount. Hmmm...wasn't there something in there about not trying to remove the speck from your neighbors eye until you remove the plank from your own??

Yes, celebrities are constantly disappointing us with their bad behavior and sinful ways--just like we ALL disappoint God with our sinful ways and bad behavior. Get off your legalistic soapbox and realize that the "Who's the bigger sinner" game is pretty ridiculous to play--we all lose.

Celebrities aren't perfect--they are human, just like all of us. Expecting perfect behavior from a celebrity is just elevating them higher on a pedestal they don' belong on. And anyone that would think that the fact that Britney had her kids within wedlock is somehow a redeeming quality worthy of judging her to be "better" than other moms that had their kids out of wedlock, even though she's mistreated and been a lousy parent to those kids, is seriously confused.

As for celebs as role models: better for parents to use celebrities' well-advertised mistakes as a launching point for discussions about how easy it is to end up following the wrong path. Show compassion and grace and a lack of judgment--try modeling God's grace towards others instead of pushing children away with fears that "if my parents put down celebrities like this for their mistakes, if they look down on them with such judgment, how will they look at me if they knew the mistakes I've made?"

Society has accepted this lifestyle.

I continue to speak out against the media and entertainment industry that have desensitized humanity in so many ways, and shown the world through explicit pictures that nothing is sacred.

It is wrong. It was wrong 2000 years ago, it was wrong when I was a teenager, and it is still wrong. But the philosophy of "if it feels good, then do it" is prevalent in the world.

Sounds to me like Satan has been working on devaluing humanity for a long time now. We have to stand up for what is right.

Wow, you made a lot of great, valid points. I agree celebs shouldn't be role models. They're just like us: they have problems, too, only they have lots of money. Sadly it's not just celebs having babies outside marriage (yes, bastard is the correct term): just about everyone's doing it. Are people really that afraid of commitment? I don't get it, why have a baby outside marriage? Is commitment that cheap these days?

the same thing with most people today...LACK OF FREAKIN' MORALS!!! AND THE ONE'S WHO SAY FORNICATION IS OK...you're probably the main ones commiting the act.
