Who is more of a legend to you, Aretha Franklin or Tina Turner? why or why not?!
Question: Both ladies are spectacular performers with enormous talent. It's difficult to choose, because they've both had lengthy careers and great success. I love the fact that Tina threw over an abusive husband and had more success without him than they ever would have had--or did have--together. Yet somehow I lean toward Aretha, who has written some great songs and is a wonderfully accomplished pianist as well as singer. (My husband, who is crazy about Tina, will have to forgive me.)

aretha. hard choice, though, i think. But I will stick with aretha!
i'd say they both are in their music genres (aretha soul/r&b, and tina rock&pop). now if htey had done the same style of music then i could give a better answer.
Tina Turner b/c she is a legend. I like Aretha to but Tina had been through alot in her life. She suffered abuse and still came out w/ songs after songs, that were good.
