Question: I have never been able to watch or get into his show, find it hard to watch him and his "I luv a pint, I'm everyone's mate" banter, gets annoying after a while as 2 me it all seems slightly false, I don't find him very funny either

Well, that's because it is false. "The Pub Landlord" is a fictional creation of his that he puts on for his stand-up/acting. He's actually a very intelligent,Oxford-Educated British Historian. and has made some very insightful programs about this subject. I think he does a brilliant satire on conservative white, English, middle-aged white male culture.
its ok but hes quite boring as all he talks about is beer even though im a beer addict (masaak karnawa) i still find it boring
Well i find him funny. Sarcasm at its best. I love sarcasm when its done right. He has got it down to a tee.
As regards to being false. Well its comedy. He is taking the piss.

He's great ...I love watching him ..The character he plays is great....I think if you have the know how of beening in the trade that makes it so funny

i dont find him funny either, quite boring really.
al murray can make something as funny as the two forks scene and make it as funny as cancer. he tired and repetitive. my advice is harry hill is a better comedian.
i totally agree with you.the best bit is the end bit when they have a sing a long to a queen song.i dont think al murray is funny at all.
I think his comedy is very limited. I neither find it funny or intelligent. He seems like a nice enough guy, but it's not to my taste. I couldn't sit through a whole show of his, I'd find it too boring.
