A magazine just rated SJP "the" most unattractive female in Hollywood... so just to back you up - you're not alone. There is nothing HOT about her.

"Maxim" just named her the UN-sexiest woman alive! I think that's going a BIT overboard. She isn't GORGEOUS, but she's not THAT unattractive either! =(

Because she's a style icon. Her show "Sex and the City" gave so much contribution in the fashion world esp. in the US and it helped to define and change women's perspectives towards fashion and dressing up. And from the 4 main characters in that show, people would say that SJP's Carrie Bradshaw was the leader of the pack.
Plus, she's a talented actress. Beauty comes in various packages. Women don't need to dye their hair blonde and dumb themselves to be considered HOT. Other factors are also important incl. talent, intelligence, style and class. And SJP proves that she's got all that.
Whatever it is, she is attractive.
I agree, her looks are a little overrated. Technically she does not have pretty features, but she is an example of 'so wrong it's right.' She is also confident (even after Maxim voted her "Least Sexy") and happy. Maybe she is not a classic natural beauty, but she is still attractive, perhaps her inner beauty and talent shine through. Plus she's rich, and let's face it most of the time that is what makes a woman pretty in Hollywood.
Yes. I don't hear much comments on her looks, but I think she just looks okay. There's nothing special about the way she looks.
