Because he is gorgeous and is someone that their moms approve of. Plus they just want to feel all grown up. Heck when I was nine I said Nick Carter was hot and he was like old not 15 like Nick Jonas. I only liked him because my older sister did and I'm guessing younger girls want to like what the big girls like!
