Most of it had to do with all those "Mighty Ducks" movies and Estevez's two-year marriage to Paula Abdul. Plus, he has a very public rivalry with his brother Charlie Sheen. Lou Diamond Phillips had personal stuff that got in the way (wife leaving him for Melissa Etheridge, allegedly beating up a girlfriend) and Kiefer was known for a long time as the groom Julia Roberts let behind to sleep with his best friend, again allegedly.
And the '80s are over, so their careers almost stopped there.
He made a couple of bad movies-- and other hotties were quick to take his place... most of the "Outsiders" fell off the celebrity map a while ago-- like Thomas Howell and Rob Lowe. But they had a good 5-10 years-- thats more than a lot of other actors can say...
Due to lack of talent...The only movie I enjoyed seeing Emilio in was "Loaded Weapon" and that was his absolute best one!
