Nick was found when he was singing in a barber shop getting his hair cut. It was gonna start out as a solo thing, but when the record company saw Joe and Kevin were equally talented, they began a group. Then they moved over to hollywood records and got big with Disney. It's awesome. They've come such a long way.

they started out as a small little band on disney channel and because of stupid little disney fans everyone on disney is considered cool!!disney put them with hannah montana which really made their fame sky rocket.and they would play them on disney channel and people would hear them and be like ohh theyre good and then go out and buy their latest album.so they eventually bacame famous.im not surprised they were with disney channel when they became famous.disney channel recognized a lot of people like miley cyrus aly and aj raven jessica simpson.it all goes on

they got big when meet the robinsons came out because they made 2 songs to go with the movie for the dvd year 3000 and kids of the future. thats when they got big.

That's a really good question. It might be because disney channel's popularity seems to have sky rocketed over the past few months/years. Also there hasn't been another boy band for quite some time so that probably helped.
