Why did Jim Morrison (The Doors) live in an "apartment" before his dea!

Question: wouldn't he live in a larger home?

Answers: wouldn't he live in a larger home?

When Jim lived in Paris before his death he lived in a very high end apartment, or what some Americans may call a flat. In Paris, there are not too many houses at all. Jim lived in the 17th district, a very fancy and expensive district in Paris, even at those times. I believe it had enough room for 2 separate families. Jim and his girlfriend Pam lived there with a French model who I believe was friends with them, I am pretty sure her name was Zozo or something similar to that. Jim and Pam would rent the apartment from her, and when she was away traveling, or at someone elses house they were allowed to live there as it was their apartment, doubling the size that they have available. And, as much as people say that Jim was famous and he should of been rich is not true. Jim seemed to spend his money more on projects than material things. With his money earned from The Doors he published a few poetry books, (which rarely do well popularity wise) and made a very expensive movie called HWY, and bought Pam a very high end boutique which made very little money in comparison to it's expenses. So, even if their apartment cost less than a house, they might of not had enough money, and Jim never really seems to like fancy things anyway. Even with his fame, he seemed to keep the same things and personality as he always did. I think that the apartment was more of Pam's want, and Jim just wanted to make her happy, rather than finding a place more appropriate to his likes or financial capability.

Maybe he felt more comfortable in an apartment, You know, all cosy. He may not have wanted a large home.

he was an american poet. a loner all his life. he died in good company though i'm sure, probably a bed full of french models. he was gigantic in his day. still makes millions in royalties and airplay. i have their stuff. i like alabama song, riders on the storm, backdoor man, the end et c. et c.

He lived in a house in the states for awhile, but with traveling so much, it was easier to just stay in hotels or apartments. He was working on cleaning up his personal act, getting rid of the drugs, but still drinking, when he died in the Paris apartment.

I've never been to Paris, but unless it has an old section with houses, Paris seems to be very metro and modern; a mix of the old and new in an elegant fashion.

I, like a lot of his fans through the years, decided to believe that he wasn't really dead -- like Elvis. My husband was more adamant about him than I was and still believes he is alive and doing fine somewhere in this big world.
