It's kind of how hip hop did in the 80's, I didn't care for it but it expanded my tastes of music & now I love 80's old school. For my personal tastes country has become too commercialized & it's watered down the quality of music (if you like traditional artists like George Strait, A.J. & etc.).

Most country music these days is basically 70's pop music. So it's not surprising to me that JORDIN Sparks and the other artists that you mentioned are crossing over from format to format.
