Why do you give stars ?!
Question: i only give them if i find the question interesting or funny

if some one gives an answer that is helpful to the person asking it why not show appreciation
only if its something, id like to know to, so then when they get a best answer, i can see the answer to it.
im usually in jokes and riddles so i star if i laugh
Yeah, I wondered the same thing - some people star almost every question they answer - seems a bit over the top to me, but for your question, you get a start from me, haha!
If the question makes me laugh, gives me something to think about, if the person asking has asked a "brave" question that they will get slated for (give them a star to even up the slagging off), if I am interested in seeing the responses (and will need to go back to see!) or if the question tells me something that I was unaware of.
simply because i'm a nice guy...
