Why did tom delonge split from blink ?!

Nothing really, he just decided Blink 182 had had its run. Stupid I know, but he did the same with Boxcar Racer. He just thought the band had done enough and he had got all he could out of it. So he broke up Blink and came out with his new band, which I have yet to listen to...I don't even know if they are still going.
I have never heard of him, but I am going to google the name and learn all about him.
