Why do people like the Jonas Brothers?!
Question: The first time I heard them was the Macy's Thanksgiving parade. They were lip-syncing. You didn't have to know the song to know that.
About a year and a half later, all of the girls at my school were literally obsessed with them. One of the girls even brought the poster to school and started licking one of the Jonas Brothers.
I asked her "Why do you like them so much?"
She answered "Because they're hot and they play music"
I replied "They don't play music, they lip-sync on some occasions, and on others they use a pre-recorded track." (Look it up, it's true)
She promptly said "They're still hot"
Okay, people think they're hot. Why aren't they models?
A couple of weeks ago, I found out they did a cover of "Take on me". They ruined the song. One of the girls at my school was in awe over the cover.
I told her "The cover is horrible"

OKk... I'm kinda tired of constantly answering this question but... I will anyway.
First of all, true fans DO NOT like them JUST because they're 'hot'. We love them for who they are and what they do. These girls in your school are probably just 'fake fans' who just like them for how they look like. OK so maybe they're good-looking but thats not it. They're also sweet and genuine guys. They're EXTREMELY down to earth and are always thanking us fans for EVERY SINGLE THING. They try to reach out for all their fans all over the world, thats why they're going on an international tour is summer (then after that going on their own headline tour, ''Burning Up'' tour).
And NOOOO, they DO NOT (I repeat DO NOT) lip-sync. Just because the ONLY one time you saw them was when they lip-synced then thats your problem. All the singers at the parade lip-synced, not just them. It was because no one could hear them if they sang live. Just go on YouTube and check out some of their recent performances. They're amazing. They even said it themselves that they're SO uncomfortable with lip-syncing ! Here check out these LIVE performances :

Now what do you think? Can they sing? Yes, I say totally they can. I mean, if they sucked and couldnt sing then why the hell are they performing on all of these TV shows? So yeah... think again and do your researches before you judge them.
And OMG... I think ''Take On Me'' was great. They did an amazing cover. I wouldn't have listened to the original song if they hadnt played the cover. If you think they sucked, then its up to you. I think they did great. Covers dont have to be EXACTLY the same as the original song, and let me see you try to sing a cover?
Anyway, overall, they're amazing guys and EVERYONE else agrees. Watch some interviews (ex. Ellen DeGeneres http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYTYAa9sX... ) and YOU'LL SEE that they're great guys who are just going whatever they love to do best.

Because they're the "it" boys. Remember Justin Timberlake, Eminem and Jesse Macartney. [Hopefully] they will be old news soon. But I have to admit, Joe is pretty funny & cute, but the rest...I don't particulary care for them. I have to agree they ruin songs, but it's only one of them I think can't sing, I won't say though, I don't want to be reported again by the obsessed teens.
It's the pathetic-ness (is that even a word?) of the human race. I can proudly say I was never one of those teenagers.
Every couple of years a new boy band is manufactured. In my time it was the Hansen Brothers. I thought I would die if I did not hear them and planned a marriage with all or any of them. Then I grew up. I cannot remember a single song now and I cringe at what I use to do . The same thing will happen to the Jonas Brothers. I must admit though, their fans seem to be more savage and demanding of everyone who disagrees with them
well everybody has there own opinions on celebrities some ppl like them some ppl think there ok and some ppl hate them like hell. so everyone has a different opinion. but i like the jonas brothers because i think they are very adorable and have an amazing voice so in a way i think there talented but thats my opinion u might have a different one.

I was in study hall and a girl in my class was licking Joe *ewww*!
People like them because the media put them up on a pedestal. Not because they're any good. Same with Hannah Montana.
What i don't agree with is that people say they are role models . That they inspire them . These guys are teenagers . They haven't experienced anything in life to be role models . They have had it easy because of there talent . They make it seem like they are the only good people on earth . If they need inspiration or a role model , then they need to look at there parents . The one's who have to go to work in order for these kids to have a roof over there heads . Food on the table and clothes on there back . And that they are able to have money to buy these c.ds of there's . Like i've said before, when the camera's are on them , yes they will show there good image . No one knows what they really do off camera . But these kids get blinded so quickly that they don't know what to think . They thought the same with N'Sync and they will do the same when another group comes out .

People like the Jonas Brothers because...
(1) They are very talented (they didn't lip-sync! I watched it and it didn't sound like they do when it's recorded.)
(2) They don't do naughty things and are good roll models
(3) They are cute
