He's been proven on several occasions to be fake. That aside, many people do find him very creepy and think he is the devil incarnate. Most celebrities are not religious in the least so it's highly unlikely that he is a Satanist or anything else. There haven't been any articles or interviews with him confirming that he is.

they're all optical illusions. i recently watched this show where they show how the tricks work --- even the telekenesis and floating objects stuff, i also believed once that the magicians were possesed or something, bit they're just illusions. 100% sure.
