What is the appeal of this Miley Cyrus?!
Question: I seen her on Idol Gives back last night and she had a horrible voice. Sanjaya can sing better than her. Why is she so popular? I really don't know much about her but I hear about her everywhere i go and I am trying to understand it.

OMG! THANK YOU! Finally someone that knows REAL music! You are soooo right she sounded horrible on Idol last night and it looked like she had a spaz attack on stage when she got down on the floor and kept dragging the microphone stand all over the stage and dropping it and shaking her hair everywhere. "Hannah Montana" show is popular especially with pre-teens who love her cuz and look up to her only 15 years old and already has a movie and record deal, but anyone with a brain knows it's mainly because her dad is country star Billy Ray Cyrus and she has the money to produce movies and CD's.
yes and when she talks she sounds like a man...no seriously you should hear her talk

and she's famous because little 8 year olds go around saying how incredible and amazing she is and that her show is the best show in the world blahhhhhhh blahhhhhhhhh blahhhhhhh its all HOOPLA!!

idkk.. i guess little kids like her... and older ones did too before she came out with those nasty pics... but some ppl are just true fans. i personally can't stand her. :]
She is awesome! She is a young, independent, successful girl and she is a great role-model for young girls. She has a stong father figure and a good head on her shoulders, she certainly would not be caught in pictures with her panties off!
(my opinion) she was dancing so she was out of breath when she was singing. i think she is okay though on her c.d.

From what I've seen, she has no talent. She's popular thanks to her father, who apparently was somewhat of a celebrity back in the day. I hate when people with average or below average talent become famous because of connections. Examples: Jamie Lynn Spears, Ashlee Simpson, Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian...the list is neverending, lol:)
Her hit TV show Hannah Montana, which is the most watched show for girls between like 6 and 14.
And her voice normally sounds good because it is all modified and digitalized.
well she does have her own shows, and her concerts are sold out for the next few months, she talks like a man, but im not gonna lie, she can sing pretty well.

Because when she is totally edited and played around with in a studio, her voice/songs sound excellent. Some of my friends went to her concert and were pretty surprised at what she sounded like...
I think she seems really nice and friendly, but maybe singing isn't her path.

Miley is a hit because she has developed her show to appeal to the young people - that is her peer audience. And they love her. At least so far she has shown herself to be a decent role model and a decent girl so let's just let it be.
Adults don't find her fascinating ................yet. Watch out when she grows up.
