Question: Is Russell Brand living proof that you can be famous without having any talent whatsoever!?

There a lot of people on TV who really have little or no talent he is one !.
One of the things that really irritates me is that TV seems to be the place where there appears to be a great deal of nepatism I certainly can't think of anywhere else (other than politics) where members of a family get a job because mummy daddy is in the "profession" they have no qualifications just well known relatives!.
Ben Fogle "graces "our screens constantly with his irritating personality because is mother was an actress and his dad was in the media!.Judith Chalmers son is now on travel programmes Bob Geldorfs daughter has a job on TV gosh it's a tough job but someone has to do it!!! I don't so much mind actors actresses getting jobs for their offspring because if they have no talent they soon get left behind but it's as if presenters of programmes etc just have to have a family member in the know to be boring us or getting on our nerves!.Is this what is meant by "closed shop" surely ITV and BBC C4 etc need to employ people with talent not just those who have someone in the business,they not only get jobs in the media but are constantly on as guests not because they are interesting but just for who they are or more importantly who mummy and daddy are!.

I quite like him, he's funny, he was great in St!. trinians and Big Brothers big mouth and cant wait to see him in this forgetting sarah marshall film or whatever and his stage show was good as well - he's becoming international, which is rare for an English comedian, good for him!

Hahah well you've missed the point!. He's a pretty clever bloke who just acts a bit daft!. Somewhere along the line he's found that being funny is how to make people like him, and because he's intelligent he's worked out how to do it in a successful way!.
