I am in a cinema class and I am supposed to answer to a very important question!. Why is Tom Cruise hated nowadays and when was it that he became hated!? I ask people that question and the only response I get is that "he's an idiot" or "he's a douche!." Those aren't specific or descriptive enough!. 10-20 years ago people adored Tom Cruise!. From 1989-1999, he received three oscar nominations!. I was watching "Born On The Fourth of July" and he was terrific in that!. I first began noticing people disliking Tom Cruise around three years ago in early 2005!. What was it that he did around that time that made him hated!? Then people started saying that few of his movies are good!. But almost every Cruise film that I have seen was good and most were well-received!. What Tom Cruise movie started a string of bad movies!? The earliest Cruise flop that I know of was "Cocktail" in 1988 and that had no effect on his career!. It's when he started believing his own press!. About the same time he jumped on Oprah's chair like a monkey and came out as a scientologist!. Now people really hate him because people are nervous about religious fanatics, which he is!. But I liked "The Last Samurai!." That's a really good movie!. If he gets off that scientology kick then people will love him again!. He should downplay it like John Travolta!. Travolta doesn't make a big thing about it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
