I don't love MCR either but I don't hate them!. I can see why they appeal to people now though, their competition is like sugar-sweet pop about love or rap songs about "gettin' low" or something!. There is also an audience of people who like to think they're not "mainstream" when MCR is very mainstream!. MCR may be different from the other bands but they are still mainstream!. I actually don't really mind MCR fans, the only ones that annoy me are the ones who go to Hot Topic buy all their stuff, dye their hair, and then talk about how emo they are or how they like to emo out to MCR!. Yes you go emo out to MCR while they reap all the profits of you not just talking to someone you know about your issues!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I used to kind of like a few of their songs, but not anymore!. I agree with the above poster, there are a lot of people (mostly young to middle teens) who really do like their music!. I think a large part of their appeal is the sense of community that can come with liking their music!. MCR fans seem to have a really tight fanbase, and the music's concentration on certain "darker" ideas can help give young teens a sense of identity at a time when they're unsure of themselves!. At least, I know I was that way with, say, Linkin Park :)Www@Enter-QA@Com
